Under the Umbrella is an ongoing international spoken word night in Paris that welcomes us to share and read texts and stories that were written but never intended for a mic.
Diaries, journals, DMs, old emails, love letters, voicenotes. Anything from the archive is welcome. Come as you are, with what you already have. Everybody is welcome: to read, to share, or simply to listen and experience the real human connection.

Under the Umbrella is a monthly nonprofit open mic event that is donation based and volunteer led, a community-based social practice in Paris that centers around radical vulnerability, cathartic cringe, and self-expression. We welcome all people sharing all types of original writing, in any language, casual or polished, spontaneous or rehearsed.
